Looking cute in cold weather is hard. Especially when you’re in a rush, which we all seem to be around the holidays. After moving from the beach last year my Winter Wardrobe was seriously lacking. I forgot how important it is to have the proper clothing and accessories to layer on. Below I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite winter essentials that are sure to keep you cozy and warm this season. All of these products also make for great last minute Christmas presents !
1 | A Warm Winter Jacket
This is a staple of every woman’s closet. When I look for my winter jackets I try to stick with neutral colors so they match with any outfit. I’m in love with this Ivory Marc New York Faux Fur Jacket from Nordstrom which is currently 40% off! (also avaliable in olive & grey). During the Black Friday sales I also ordered this Pre-lined Parka from H & M which comes in 6 different colors. I bought one of their fur jackets while studying abroad and it got me through the coldest winter!!
2 | Touch Screen Leather Gloves
The winter accessory that’s most forgotten – gloves! This year you should invest in some quality hand warmers. They’re not the bulky cotton gloves you’re thinking of either. Take a look at these color block fashion-forward gloves from ASOS that I found and will also save your fingers from frostbite. Or browse the winter gear at North Face where you can find super cute multi colored gloves like the ones below.
3 | Cozy AF Scarfs from A&F
I’m all about the scarf game, but since I recently moved from the beach I’ve realized that I barely have any in my closet. My favorite stores to snatch a good scarf at are Target, Versona, Anthropologie and Three Bird Nest. I ALWAYS shoot for comfort for any article of clothing, but especially scarfs. I’ll pay the extra dollar for quality if that something is going to be rubbing up against my chest, neck, and face. On top of dry skin – that’s the last thing I need!
4 | Fur Lined Boots
North Carolina saw a few inches of snow this past weekend which also made me realize I have absolutely no snow/ rain boots for this kind of weather. I’ve searched to find a few cozy booties that will stay strong against the elements. Dicks Sporting Goods has an amazing selection of snow boots for everyone in the fam & I’m crushing on these Kamik Waterproof Winter Boots.
I also checked out DSW to find more on trend winter booties so you can slay with style this season. These Sporto San Bunt Booties and these B52 Bullboxer Karly Booties that have ALL the fur you’ll ever need ( these are the ones I bought below!!).
5 | Knee High socks
Knee high socks are usually synonymous with fall and winter, and they never go out of style. When your transitioning from the cold weather to the warm in doors, you’ll need a few key pieces to keep you comfortable. I always reach for some shorts and my knee high socks in case I get too hot I can just take them off instead of having to change my bottoms. Plus- Ben loves them 😀
6 | A Classic Knit Beanie
Don’t let freezing temps ruin your outfit. Cute hats are the ideal winter accessory to keep you stylish—and warm! I found these beanies on Three Bird Nest and want one in every color!
7 | Cozy Slippers
If you’re anything like me your feet are always cold when you are home. Sometimes socks just don’t cut it. Other times you just need something quick to slip on in the morning to do your daily chores. Regardless, I’ve found that Anthropologie has the best slipper game this year. Check out my favorite Champagne Slipper Slides from Anthropologie and be sure to browse all the other styles! There are so many to choose from!
8 | Thermal Winter Tights
These Fleece lined tights from Amazon are GAME CHANGING. No need to layer these with jean, they’ll keep you warm all day long! Seriously ya’ll these are the best, They feel like heaven when you slip them on. If you buy one thing on this list of MUST have’s let it be these! Worth – every – penny.
