As you know I’m no stranger to travel. I’ve done quite a bit of it in my days and have – almost – perfected packing the perfect amount. During my experience traveling I’ve found a few products that have help me stay organized, comfortable, and prepared for anything. Take a look at my top 5 favorite travel products that I swear by.
1 // PACKING CUBE SET
Packing cubes have completely changed the way I pack. I always thought they were kind of useless, until I started using them. They keep everything organized, and I swear I can fit so much more in my luggage. I like to use them to separate my clothes into different sections like t-shirts, swimwear, and underwear. Other times I’ll use them to pair styled outfit for the days I shoot content. It makes it really easy to find what you need once you’ve reached your destination too!
2 // PASSPORT HOLDER
I’ve always been a little paranoid I’m going to lose my passport- aka my lifeline- while traveling. On our trip to Tulum I decided to buy Ben & I designated passport holders to keep things easy. I keep my passport, boarding pass, and some cash / credit card in it at all times, and you can and always make sure to keep it somewhere safe. During my travels I like to keep some of my cards, money, and ID cards in my passport and others in my wallet in case one gets lost / stolen. I keep it right in the front zipper of my backpack and going through security has been seamless. This one is under $10 and you can choose from 16 different color options!!
3 // DRY BAG
You’d be surprised how handy a dry bag can be on your travels. I’ve used mine for paddle boarding trips, rainy hikes, out on the boat and diving into cenotes. I’m the only one to ever bring a camera, and expensive ones at that – like my DSLR’s & GoPro even my phone. And when you spend thousands of dollars on camera equipment, you want to make sure you can keep it dry! They take up virtually no room, so I always make sure to tuck one into my suitcase. This one comes in 11 different colors and is under $40! WORTH IT.
One of the most important peices of equipment you will bring along is your actual luggge. I’ve had some bad experiences buying cheap luggage that ruins after a few flights. I now own my FAVORITE bag ever the Bric’s Bellagio Spinner. Not only do I love the style, which sets it apart from all the other basic luggage- I love the functionality. I’ve never owned a spinner bag before – which if you don’t know – can spin every which way, so all you need to do is put it on the ground and push! It makes traveling so easy. I got the 30″ which is pretty dang big, and I use it for most of my shoot days because it can hold 20 something outfits. I recommend going for a 21″ spinner if you’re looking for a carry on size.
