Hi friends!
It’s literally been 2 months since I’ve done ANYTHING on the blog. Life has been so busy lately. Ben & I started our year traveling a lot, celebrating birthdays, starting a new job, and getting engaged! But all that action and all our plans suddenly came to a halt with this COVID-19 virus spreading worldwide. To be honest, I’ve really loved the downtime outside of work. I’ve been extremely lazy for the past week since returning from San Fran (I’ll have those blog posts up soon btw!)
I’m becoming inspired to write again, to work on my craft and help inspire others. Today, I’ll take the small win of writing this post. I hope that some of you find these Quarantine ideas useful. We really do have the opportunity to get a LOT done in the little time (hopefully) that we have left in our homes. So lets make it worthwhile! Below are 20 things to keep your mind and body busy during quarantine:

1. Develop a new skin care routine – get outside and get some vitamin D on your face! Since your laying around at home there’s no reason to cake on the make up. Go natural and let your skin breathe!
2. Whiten your teeth- There’s really no better time than now. Come out of quarantine rockin some pearly whites!
3. Create a workout plan- I know this may be difficult for some, but right now is the perfect time to sit down and write out your goals. Start with a few days a week and get your body moving!
4. Take daily walks with your pup – If you’re like me and can’t afford to come home during workdays, then you know how important this time with your pup really is.
5. Meal prep food / snacks – This will help you keep your portions regulated and from overeating!
6. Read a new book- Educate yourself on something new!
7. Organize your house – Start with your pantry, closets, bedrooms, and office! Marie-Kondo that sh**t!
8. Turn your garage into a gym or creative station – Use this space to get moving or get groovin!
9. Work on your yard- mow it, weed it, and plant some flowers in it!
10. Learn a new language – A great way to set yourself apart on those job resumes!
11. Plant a vegetable garden – this is a personal goal of mine. But this is a great way to learn a new craft and nourish your body with some homegrown food!
12. Give your home office a makeover – If you’re working from home, maybe it’s time to make it more comfortable.
13. Create a mood board for an unfinished room in your house – Print out all those pinterest pictures you’ve saved and create a mood board to design your next room!
14. Send a personal letter- Family and friends will love a personal, handwritten letter or a post card. Take a fun/funny picture with your roommates/pet and send it out to your loved ones for a good laugh!
15. Spring clean- Deep clean your house. As they say “out with the old, in with the new!”
16. Meditate- Kind of an awkward time to have anxiety. Mediate has helped me calm my breathing during this stressful time.
17. Do your taxes – Just hear me out. The Stimulus Package has been approved and if you make under $75,000 a year you will be getting a $1,200 check. The government will be direct depositing these, and they will be using 2018/2019 Tax information to do so. SO – if you have not set up direct deposit yet, go ahead and do it on your taxes this year so you can get that money faster. It could take weeks to get it in check form.
18. Job search for that dream job – Were you laid off? Take this time to research your dream job, find out the next best move for your career!
19. If you can sew, consider making protective surgical masks & donate to your local hospital!

20. Plan your next trip – The tourism industry is getting hit hard, prices are being slashed across airline travel/ hotels / and excursions. Consider supporting some of these businesses by planning out your next trip!
Thank you for this awesome post! I especially liked the idea of planning a trip, something to look forward to in the future is always helpful to get through a tough period! I have also recently written an article about things to do during quarantine and their potential positive impact on our lives. If you have time, it would be great if you could check out my post and let me know your thoughts! Wishing you good health and safety 🙂
Thank you so much! I’ll check it out!
Thank you!
